The collection documents the personal and professional lives of Henry, Helen and John Mattill through a variety of materials including correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, travel souvenirs and programs. Subjects covered in the collection include: Henry's college years; the couple's marriage; the family's years in Utah, Berkeley, Rochester and Iowa City; Henry's military service; the move from Rochester to Iowa City; an extended family vacation to Europe along with information on several smaller vacations (Yellowstone, the Canadian Rockies, the Adirondacks, etc.); tributes to Henry on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
